Product Description

If you’re looking for a reel that is able to offer you incredible good looks, powerful big pit performance, and excellent value for money then you’ve come to the right place. The Daiwa Black Widow reel offers all of the above in abundance, as well as featuring many of Daiwa’s outstanding technologies that put it head and shoulders above the competition. Designed to balance perfectly on Daiwa’s Black Widow carp rod, this reel is a high performance carp fishing machine that allows you to tackle all of the biggest venues and commercials that the UK has to offer – as well as giving you great potential on any number of the continents finest fisheries.

The most impressive feature on the Daiwa Black Widow reel is it’s geared down retrieve. As it is a classic distance casting big pit you need to be able to retrieve a huge amount of line with ease and this geared down retrieve allows you to do exactly that. In fact, across the Black Widow series you are able to retrieve a whopping 85cm of mainline with each crank of the handle – ideal for pulling in those distances casts when you need to. All of the Black Widow reels have the potential to hold a huge amount of line and the largest LD model can be loaded up with an epic 530m of 0.35mm line. This is far more line that even the most prolific distance casters will be able to reel off but, for those anglers who have falling in love with the bait boat revolution, this reel allows you to fish previously untapped waters far out from the standard anglers abilities.

The spool on the Black Widow offers a classic aluminium construction – including all the durability that normally comes along with this – and both the body and the rotor are constructed from graphite. Graphite is one of the most popular materials in modern reel construction due to its light weight and incredible rigidity under pressure, and it is utilised to great effect here – keeping all of the integral components in perfect position when you’re up against a monster carp.
